IOWA CITY — Iowa football running back Jaziun Patterson has been ruled unavailable for the Hawkeyes' matchup with Indiana on Sept. 27, head coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.
Patterson made his first start of the season against Rutgers but got dinged up. He finished the contest with six carries for 37 yards. Kamari Moulton did return against the Scarlet Knights , though. Otherwise, the Hawkeyes would’ve been in worse shape in the backfield.
In a room that has had a revolving door of ball carriers, Patterson currently stands as Iowa ’s leader in total rushing yards this season with 198. But the Hawkeyes have six players with at least 80 rushing yards, including quarterback Mark Gronowski, who has run for a team-high six touchdowns.
