Twenty-six Oklahoma artists explore the ideas of identity, place and transformation in a new exhibit at Oklahoma Contemporary , which opened last week and runs through Feb. 15.

“ Materials and Boundaries ,” the art center’s ArtNow 2025 exhibit, “offers a portrait of a state in motion,” reads the introduction to the exhibit, since the artists are shaping the state’s contemporary art landscape with a global worldview. The art center in downtown Oklahoma City hosts an ArtNow exhibit every two years.

This year’s work features everything from large-scale installations to paintings to textiles and more. The art was the focus of the recent ArtNow evening fundraiser, which was colorful, fun and lively — with good food, a DJ that brought some smooth vibes and more.
