COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its initial set of football computer ratings Tuesday morning after reaching the midway point of the regular season.
This year brings a change to the state’s playoff format in which 12 teams will qualify for the playoffs in each region. The top 16 had made it since 2021. Now, the top four teams will have first-round byes in the 11th week of the season.
Once the playoffs begin, the No. 1 seeds will play the No. 8 vs. 9 winners. No. 2 will play No. 7 or No. 10. No. 3 will play No. 6 or No. 11 and No. 4 will play No. 5 or No. 12.
