SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly resisting arrest and striking a police officer with a rock repeatedly, causing injuries.

Shrue Rison Wakuk, 43, is charged with aggravated assault targeting law enforcement with bodily injury, a first-degree felony; criminal trespass after notice, a Class B misdemeanor; and interfering with a peace officer, a Class B misdemeanor.

According to court documents, on Sept. 19, 2025, a Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD) officer witnessed a woman standing under an overpass with clear "No Trespassing" signs posted. The officer informed the woman — later identified as Wakuk — that she
