A family on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, could only watch in disbelief as a mother bear climbed into the bed of their truck and made off with a bag of groceries.

Footage from Kari Schmidt shows a mother bear and her two cubs approaching the truck as Schmidt's husband, Brian, attempted to unload it.

"We saw a mother bear with her two cubs a couple of miles down the road as we were driving in," Schmidt told Storyful. "The mom must have smelled our bag of food as we drove by because she was on a mission."

In the footage, Brian is seen moving away as the bear climbs right into the truck and helps herself to a big bag of food, while her cubs watch.
