PHOENIX — The eastbound side of Sky Harbor Boulevard will be closed nightly for the next two weeks along the north side of Terminal 3 to allow for project work.

The daily closures start Sept. 23 and will run from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.. To get around the closure, drivers must detour through Terminal 3's Inner Curb lanes.

Airport officials said the closures are expected to cause significant traffic delays and drivers are encouraged to allow for extra travel time. Motorists should use the airport's east entrance to avoid the closure.

Drivers have the option to drop off or pick up passengers from the 24th and 44th Street PHX Sky Train stations. The sky train is a free transportation service that runs 24/7.

The closure ends Oct. 7.
