DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — UNITED AMERICAN LAND, l ed by the Laboz family, recently purchased 385 Jay St., 387 Jay St. and 48 Willoughby St. for $14.5 million, bringing its holdings to 16 of the 21 lots on the block bounded by Jay, Willoughby, Fulton and Lawrence streets, according to Crain’s New York Business.

The sites include a Dunkin’ Donuts and an African hair-braiding shop with a historic half-timbered façade.

The developer, active on the block since 1996, has steadily expanded its footprint with acquisitions in 2018, 2021 and 2023.

A notable exception to UAL’s dominance on the block is 150 Lawrence St., redeveloped as Lawrence Tower, a 25-story luxury building.
