MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Five months after a bench warrant was issued for a 31-year-old man, he was taken into custody in Madera County on Monday, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies said that in April, a bench warrant was issued for 31-year-old Kyle Thomas Clarkson for violating the terms of his post-release community supervision.
The sheriff's office said that despite several attempts to evade capture, including a foot pursuit in Oakhurst, he was taken into custody on Monday.
The Madera Special Enforcement Team set up surveillance and executed a search warrant after 30 minutes of negotiation. He surrendered without incident.
