Summer is transitioning into fall on a dry note. And it's prompting warnings, again, from officials about fire danger.

It didn’t take long to find people who have been noticing how dry it is.

“Very, very, very, dry, no dampness at all,” Sabra O’Donnell, in Essex, said.

Her garden at her house is suffering. We caught her pulling weeds from it Tuesday afternoon.

“You just can’t keep it watered,” she said.

For her, its about maintenance. But she described this fall as one of the driest ends to the garden season she can remember.

When asked about brush fires, she had heard about some recent ones, including in Essex, and it raised a different set of concerns.
