PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Authorities are warning the public to stay vigilant, after card skimmers were found at several Dollar Tree locations across the Portland metro.

Skimmers are devices secretly placed on card readers to illegally collect customers’ bank card information during transactions.

According to the Hillsboro Police Department, skimmers were found at three Dollar Tree locations in the city:

1297 Northwest 185th Avenue

6215 Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway

2165 Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway

In addition, the Portland Police Bureau says a skimmer was also found at the Mall 205 location at 10534 Southeast Washington Street.

Police say the skimmer found at the Mall 205 location was attached to the register closest to the store’s entrance.
