BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A one-time maintenance worker for Boardman Township was in court Tuesday morning on theft charges.
Michael Carkido is accused of using township funds to pay for personal expenses while working in the township's vehicle maintenance department.
Investigators with the Sheriff's Office say Carkido operated an auto repair shop on the side and brought items for that business with township money.
Carkido is free on bond. His trial begins in November.
