Student 'removed' for knife threat at Pflugerville elementary school, letter says

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Pflugerville Independent School District Police Department is investigating an incident at Dessau Elementary on Tuesday after a student allegedly “displayed a knife and threatened other students and a staff member,” according to a letter sent home to families.

No students or staff were harmed from the incident, the letter said.

The elementary school acknowledged in the letter that staff were aware that a younger student brought two knives to school Tuesday. That student was “immediately stopped and removed from the classroom,” the letter said.

“I want to reassure you that no students or staff were physically harmed during this incident,” said Dessau Elementary Principal Daniela Guardiola. “Please know that the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority
