TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - New national rankings from the U.S. News and World Report are in, and Tallahassee’s two universities have reason to celebrate.
Florida State University earned its highest-ever ranking, placing 51st overall according to the report.
They also came in 21st among public universities.
The school dipped slightly in the “best value” category, but earns high marks for its first-year and first-generation experience.
President Richard McCullough said he credits the increasing four-year graduation rate, and he’s especially proud of the student experience on campus.
“I haven’t met a single student that said they didn’t wish they could stay for six to eight years. They have such fun here. Work hard and play hard,” he said.
