STEPHEN, Minn. (KVRR) — What looked like a suspicious package underneath a church picnic table in Stephen, Minnesota turned out to be part of the geocaching game.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Office called in the bomb squad from Grand Forks this morning to check out the package.

People in the area were also evacuated until it was determined there was no bomb.

The sheriff’s office thanked the bomb squad for its quick response.

In geocaching, players use a GPS device or smartphone app to find hidden containers by navigating to specific coordinates.
