Connor Zilisch will be full-time with Trackhouse Racing during the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, and his new crew chief has been revealed. On Tuesday morning, Trackhouse Racing announced that Randall Burnett will be Zilisch's crew chief during the 2026 Cup Series season. The 19-year-old driver's car number still has not been announced.
Burnett is currently the crew chief for Kyle Busch and the No. 8 team at Richard Childress Racing, but the performances have not been up to par. Busch hasn't won since the 2023 NASCAR season and sits 22nd in the point standings behind Carson Hocevar and ahead of A.J. Allmendinger.
Zilisch needed a veteran crew chief to guide him through his rookie season in the Cup Series, and Burnett is a good addition for Trackhouse Racing. Burnett and Busch needed a fresh start, and joining Trackhouse Racing to lead one of NASCAR's best prospects in history is a great partnership.
