Kyle Busch will have a new crew chief for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. On Tuesday morning, Trackhouse Racing announced that Randall Burnett will join the organization as Connor Zilisch's crew chief starting in 2026. Burnett has been Busch's crew chief since the 2023 season, but the No. 8 car's performance has been poor in 2025.
Zilisch, who has lit the NASCAR world on fire with his performances in the Xfinity Series, will be 19 years old for the 2026 Daytona 500, so Burnett's veteran experience will be pivotal in his development. The veteran crew chief has been with Richard Childress Racing since the 2017 season.
Burnett has been in the Cup Series with Richard Childress Racing since 2020, coming up with Tyler Reddick, who eventually left for 23XI Racing. Busch will now need a new crew chief for the 2026 NASCAR season, as the No. 8 team looks to turn around its disappointing performances in 2024 and 2025.
