The Santa Maria Fire Department responded to a call of a structure fire at an apartment complex on the 200 block of North Western Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Multiple fire engines, a fire truck and the Santa Maria Police Department responded to the call, and crews were able to contain the damage to one apartment which was fully involved and a second unit which was also damaged.

No injuries to firefighters were reported by SMFD. Two civilians were evaluated for injuries and subsequently released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
