As has been the case for years, the first official day of UTEP men's basketball practice didn't feel much different than what the Miners were doing the day before or the week before the official tip.

College basketball is year-round these days and offseasons are nominal.

It did feel quite a bit changed from a season ago as UTEP continues the process of breaking in 10 new players with four returners, a turnover that is becoming the norm in college basketball but is somewhat new to the Miners.
