LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A 17-year-old is facing charges following a police chase in Louisville involving a stolen vehicle.

Kentucky State Police was contacted by the Hardin County Sheriff's Office around 2:29 a.m. Tuesday about a stolen Mercedes from Elizabethtown that was abandoned in Radcliff.

While investigating the stolen Mercedes, police learned a Mazda SUV had been stolen from a residence in the same Radcliff neighborhood and was believed to be headed toward Louisville.

KSP located the stolen Mazda in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver did not stop and a short pursuit ensued. Police were able to stop the vehicle near the intersection of Terry Road and Tearose Drive.
