GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro leaders are setting an ambitious barometer for the city’s future: adding 2,000 new homes by this time next year as part of the broader Road to 10,000 Homes initiative.
To help steer the effort, the city has created a brand-new role— Housing Strategy and Development Director —a position now held by Greensboro native Samuel Hunter .
A New Role, A Big Task
Hunter stepped into the job last week with three main goals: building strategic partnerships with developers, instilling transparency in how the city manages growth, and attracting new investment to Greensboro.
