LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Even though his job is to come onto the field after the Red Raiders fall short on third down, punter Jack Burgess has had no issues pinning opponents deep in their own territory.
Burgess, a native of Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia, grew up admiring the greats in the Australian Football League, before developed his own punting skills at an academy- Prokick Australia.
“They pretty much teach you how to go from like Australian football kicking to punting, and the actual technique behind that,” he said. “So yeah, I went through them and then learned pretty much everything from there”.
