ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Faded tennis courts in Ordinance Park are getting an upgrade.

Over the next few weeks, crew will be working to resurface the courts with a brand new layout featuring one tennis court and two pickleball courts.

“We want to provide for our citizens, you know what they want to do, what they can utilize,” St. Albans Mayor Scott James said.

To get the courts pickleball ready, they need to be cleaned, cracks in the concrete need to be filled, and they will be resurfaced.

After that, the next step is painting.

“The courts, the pickleball courts are going to be tricolor. That means the kitchen area is different from the back playing area,” James said.
