MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Deputies arrested a man following a chase that began in Shelby County and ended in DeSoto County.
Deputies were called to an auto burglary at the Tapestry Forest Creek Apartments in Southeast Shelby County just after midnight on September 12.
Deputies approached the driver and tried to take him into custody when he drove off, causing deputies to move out of the way to avoid being hit.
The chase ensued and ended when DeSoto County deputies used spike strips to stop the car.
Jarius Henderson, 21, was taken into custody.
The car was reported to be stolen out of Olive Branch. Henderson is charged with felony theft of property and felony evading arrest in DeSoto County.
