NILES United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley, alongside Dinesol Plastics Inc., have opened their latest Care Closet.

The newest Care Closet was opened at Niles Intermediate School Thursday, September 18. Care closets are rooms at a school stocked with clothing, hygiene items, household items and food. These items are available to all students who need them.

Niles City Schools Superintendent Ann Marie Thigpen thanked United Way and Dinesol Plastics for the new addition to the district.

"Their thoughtful contribution directly supports our students and their families, ensuring they have the essential resources for a successful school year. Our students can focus on their studies without worrying about these basic needs," Thigpen said.
