Police said information was received around 6:10 am from Jahangirpuri about multiple cases of suspected food-related illness. When officers reached Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial (BJRM) hospital, doctors informed them that around 150–200 people from Jahangirpuri, Mahendra Park, Samaypur, Bhalswa Dairy, Lal Bagh, and Swaroop Nagar had turned up at the emergency ward since morning with suspected food-related illnesses.
