HAMILTON, Texas — A Hamilton County resident is demanding the sheriff's resignation after a woman was arrested on drug charges , alleging the sheriff not only knew about her illegal activities, but was purchasing weight loss drugs from her.

Trampus Chew's wife, Erika Bedell, was recently arrested. According to Chew, she was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor related to selling weight loss drugs around town. But what has Chew most upset isn't just his wife's arrest — it's that he claims Hamilton County Sheriff Brad Boulton was allegedly one of her customers.

"My issue is here my wife's been arrested and put in jail, and clearly the sheriff knew," Chew said.
