GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Local healthcare providers are giving guidance on taking Tylenol after President Trump announced on Monday that taking acetaminophen during pregnancy can be associated with what he calls a “very increased risk of autism.”

Prevea Healthcare has posted a statement on social media saying they are moving forward with “guidance from professional societies.”

Prevea also posted a statement from the president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists:

“Acetaminophen is one of the few options available to pregnant patients to treat pain and fever, which can be harmful to pregnant people when left untreated.
