Demonstrations included Kaiser’s Sacramento Medical Center, where nurses called for more hiring to support patient care. Kaiser Permanente rejected the union’s claims, saying staffing meets or exceeds state standards and that the picket was meant to raise union visibility. The health system said it is not in contract bargaining with CNA and operations continue as normal.
