Get ready to hunker down for a thunderstorm or two.

The National Weather Service in State College has issues a Hazardous Weather Outlook for several counties in central Pennsylvania.

The alert was issued for Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder and York counties, with a prediction of “scattered thunderstorms with a risk of locally damaging winds” this afternoon and evening.

The alert continued through next Monday, though “the probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.”

The forecast for tonight includes “showers and thunderstorms likely before 10 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.”
