DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Drivers of electric vehicles will soon have more charging stations to stop at when traveling around the northland.
According to Minnesota Power, they’ll be adding 16 “fast charging stations” throughout northern Minnesota, including four in the city of Duluth.
Leaders celebrated the expansion on Tuesday by unveiling the newest charger installed at Super One’s Miller Hill location.
The new “fast chargers” will include two charging plugs, offering EV owners a quicker way to charge their cars.
“The majority of EV charging happens at home overnight. When you are making longer trips, you need to have security that there’s going to be fast charging available to make sure that people can confidently travel to northern Minnesota in an electric vehicle,” said
