Luckless Plymouth Argyle left-sided defender Jack MacKenzie faces another four to six weeks out of action after suffering an injury setback.
The summer signing from Scottish Cup winners Aberdeen was nearing a playing return from a knee issue which flared up during pre-season for the Pilgrims but now has shin splints, which will further delay his debut for the Pilgrims.
He remains on an injury list which also includes defensive duo Julio Pleguezuelo and Kornel Szucs, as well as attacking pair Xavier Amaechi and Caleb Watts.
MacKenzie had been targeted to play some part of Vertu Trophy tie against Tottenham Hotspur under-21s at Home Park on Tuesday night but that did not materialise in the end.
