Federal food safety officials have issued a public health alert for Trader Joe’s “Turkey Gobbler Wrap” products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially dangerous bacteria that can cause serious illness, Newsweek reports.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the alert after food-contact surfaces associated with the product tested positive for listeria during routine monitoring.
The affected products are 10-ounce clear plastic packages labeled “TRADER JOE’S TURKEY GOBBLER WRAP” with a “BEST BY SEP 16, 2025” date and establishment number “P-1644” inside the USDA inspection mark. The wraps were produced on Sept. 10 by WCD Kitchen-Minooka in Illinois and distributed to Trader Joe’s locations nationwide.
