The City of Brantford has partnered with Brant Native Housing to host the fourth annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Powwow Event on Saturday,

This free event, held at Mohawk Park (51 Lynwood Dr.) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature Indigenous drumming, dancing, singing, vendors and food. Dream catchers will also be made while supplies last.

The City of Brantford will join communities across Canada on Tuesday, Sept. 30 to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day was created to provide an opportunity for Canadians to remember the victims of the Indian Residential School System and to reflect on the lasting impacts on its survivors, their families and Indigenous communities.
