MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin cornerback who is fighting for an extra year of eligibility and who was hoping to get on the field this year has had his trial pushed back to 2026.

Nyzier Fourqurean is suing the NCAA , arguing his time playing Division II football at Grand Valley State shouldn't count toward his Division I eligibility.

The trial in his federal case was originally set for October 20, 2025. But during a scheduling conference on September 23, 2025, federal court records show jury selection and the trial were moved to May 18, 2026.

Court records show the parties predict a 4- or 5-day trial.
