OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Oak Ridge Police Department has released a statement and launched an internal investigation after a video of an officer began to circulate on social media.
ORPD said the video showed an officer taking "a photo of a woman during a traffic stop and making comments to two other officers on scene about sending it to a supervisor."
The department said the incident happened on Nov. 2, 2024, but it "does not condone this type of behavior," which prompted an internal investigation nearly 10 months later.
"While no formal complaint was filed in this matter, we take all concerns from our community seriously and are committed to a thorough review," ORPD said.
