BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The downtown Bakersfield Liberty Bell was the site of a small coalition on Tuesday, holding blue and yellow signs and chanting “Yes on 50.”

The reason: To urge voters to cast their ballot in favor of Proposition 50 or the Election Rigging Response Act.

"This is an important response to what is going on in the state of Texas and what may be happening in other states across our nation. And it's important for us to push back and maintain our voices…one person, one vote",said longtime Kern County resident and businesswoman, Audrey Chavez.
