ANAHEIM, Calif. (KCTV) - Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has just one player in franchise history ahead of him on the all-time RBI list.

Tuesday night, Perez opened the final road trip of the season with an RBI single, driving in shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. to give the Royals a 2-0 lead for his 1,013th RBI of his career. It moved him past Hal McRae for second-most career RBI in Royals franchise history.

The future Royals Hall of Famer is 3 RBI shy of back-to-back 30 home run, 100 RBI seasons. It would be his third 100 RBI season of his career if he’s able to reach it.
