BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Good rain chances will continue into at least the early part of Thursday in advance of a much-anticipated cool front.

WEDNESDAY FORECAST

Spotty showers are possible to start the day, but storms will quickly increase from late morning into the afternoon. Some areas may see highs climb to around 90 degrees before the storms arrive.

SEVERE WEATHER THREAT

A Level 1/5 (marginal) risk of severe weather remains in place from Wednesday into early Thursday, with damaging winds being the primary threat from any stronger storms that may develop.

RAIN AMOUNTS

A decent soaking is expected for most of our area, with rain totals averaging 0.5″ to 2.0″, and locally higher amounts possible.
