MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Rhodes College climbed four spots in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report ranking of best colleges, officials said.

The college is now ranked No. 55 among National Liberal Arts Colleges, an annual list that evaluates four-year bachelor's degree-granting institutions across the U.S.

Rhodes also placed in the top 50 in multiple National Liberal Arts categories including:

No. 15 for Service Learning

No. 28 for Most Innovative Schools

No. 33 for Best Undergraduate Teaching

The college ranked No. 53 for Undergraduate Research/Creative Projects and No. 74 in Best Value Schools.

According to Rhodes officials, more than 1,700 students were enrolled for the Fall 2025 semester including 509 first year students representing 37 states and 27 countries. More than 19% of first year
