SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A Mooringsport man set to go on trial Monday, September 22 for causing death to one person and serious injuries to another while driving under the influence, pleaded guilty last week in Caddo District Court.

After his pleading Thursday, September 18, 2025, Scott Millis, 49, was sentenced by District Judge Chris Victory to 20 years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or reduction of sentence for vehicular homicide and first-degree vehicular negligent injuring. He also must pay a $2,000 fine, undergo substance abuse counseling and complete a driving improvement program as required by law for vehicular homicide.
