HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui ukulele artist Derick Sebastian plays the Star-Spangled Banner in America’s largest sports venues.

The song is short, but the pressure to play it perfectly fills every second.

“It’s a 90-second song,” he said. “It takes a lot of energy to make sure you hit that song and execute it well.”

The biggest crowd he’s ever performed in front of was a sold-out Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles.

”It was 50,805 fans. That was a little scary to be quite honest,” he said.

Distractions were everywhere, from star athletes on the field to celebrities in the stands. The crowd noise made it even more daunting, plus there was a one-second delay for his ukulele’s notes to reach the stadium’s loudspeakers.
