Man fatally shot in Ejido Sinaloa ; dog rescued from scene

A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday night in the Ejido Sinaloa rural town, according to emergency responders.

La Voz newspaper reported that the incident occurred in front of a seafood business located on the San Luis Highway. Authorities were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, firefighters and paramedics located the victim with gunshot wounds to his neck and arm. Despite efforts to aid him, first responders confirmed the man had no vital signs and pronounced him dead at the scene.

A canine was also found at the location and was secured by officials. The dog was transported to the Municipal Animal Control Center (CEMCA) for a medical evaluation and safekeeping.
