A Sydney high school has been thrown into lockdown after threats were made against the campus.

Police rushed to Moorebank High School on Bangalow Ave, Chipping Norton, about 2.30pm on Wednesday after reports of “threats made to the school”.

The school was locked down while officers carried out an operation.

The lockdown has since been lifted, with students released under police supervision, NSW Police said.

No injuries have been reported.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
