Firefighters tackled a “deliberate” blaze at a derelict building. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were called to a fire in The Avenue, Godmanchester yesterday (Tuesday, September 23) at around 6.16pm.
Firefighters found a derelict warehouse on fire. The fire is believed to have been deliberate.
A fire spokesperson said: “At 6.16pm on Tuesday, crews from Huntingdon , St Neots and Sawtry were called to a fire on The Avenue in Godmanchester.
“Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a derelict warehouse. Wearing breathing apparatus, they used hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by just after 9pm.”
