SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - A cold front will push a line of slow-moving thunderstorms through the ArkLaTex today. Rainfall was heavy before sunrise in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and as the front pushes south, it will send the heaviest rain into Texas and Louisiana after sunrise.

There is some uncertainty as to how the rain will evolve early in the day. Futurecast shows a lull in the rain for a few hours around sunrise, but as the temperatures warm, scattered to widespread storms are expected to redevelop by the late morning and afternoon.

A 'Marginal Risk' for severe weather is outlined by the Storm Prediction Center for the ArkLaTex today. There were a few reports of large hail early this morning in Arkansas. While hail is possible today, the main threat will be a few damaging wind gusts
