Boston Emergency Medical Services took three people to hospitals after what police described as an “officer-involved shooting” in Beacon Hill on Wednesday morning.
At 6:05 a.m. Wednesday, Boston Police officers were "involved in an officer-involved shooting" at 97 Mount Vernon St., Officer Mark Marron, a spokesman for the department, wrote in an email.
A spokesperson for Boston EMS confirmed the agency transported three people to hospitals from the scene. The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.
The Mount Vernon Street address where the incident took place is not far from the Massachusetts State House in the typically quiet Beacon Hill neighborhood.
