T his week is Hazing Prevention Week at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC).

From September 22 to 25, UTC plans to focus on community and safety. The college is having events throughout the week to teach students what exactly hazing is and how to stop it before it begins.

Local attorney explains Tennessee's hazing law

Tennessee Code Annotated 49-2-120 prohibits hazing and requires colleges and universities to inform students of their anti-hazing policies annually.
