Jimmy Kimmel didn’t waste any time addressing his week-long suspension as Jimmy Kimmel Live! returned to the air on Tuesday night, following the most chaotic seven days many people can remember in Hollywood. The late-night host tackled the controversy head-on, joking that former President Donald Trump “did his best to cancel me,” but instead “forced millions of people to watch.”

He also acknowledged Disney’s decision to temporarily take him off the air, saying he disagreed with it but thanked the company for ultimately bringing the show back. Still, Sinclair and Nexstar affiliates refused to air the program, curtailing its return in more than a quarter of ABC markets.
