The 23 year-old has signed for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who reached the Western Conference Finals last season.

Fulton has been in the United States for pre-season with the Timberwolves, who have now decided to acquire his services on a permanent basis.

However, the NBA side are expected to loan the Belfast man the Iowa Wolves for the forthcoming season, who play in the G-League, a development competition for budding NBA players.

Fulton missed out on selection at the NBA Draft in June, but played in the NBA Summer League whilst on trial with the Timberwolves.

The former St Malachy’s College pupil has previously played college basketball in the States for Lafayette and the Charleston Cougars. Before that, he won Irish Super League title with Belfast Star in 2020.
