MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — A Madisonville woman is in jail on several charges after being accused of pulling a knife on a group of children.

Police say they were dispatched to a disturbance at the Pennyrile Park Apartments after someone called 911 and said Maria Cruce pulled a knife on a 12-year-old.

Officers spoke to the child, who said he was near the apartment with two other juveniles when Cruce came out and threatened to stab them.

MPD says the victim also showed officers two videos that showed Cruce making threats and holding what appeared to be a large knife.

Several unrelated individuals told police Cruce had been babysitting kids with her boyfriend at one of the apartments.

Management told police that Cruce had been evicted and trespassed, and that she wasn't supposed to be at
